Zakat Foundation at the 2010 ISNA Convention
Zakat Foundation joined thousands of members of the North American Muslim community in attending the 47th Annual convention of the Islamic Society of North America (ISNA) that was held from July 2nd to July 5th in Rosemont, Illinois under the theme of Nurturing Compassionate Communities.
Zakat Foundation staff and volunteers were on hand during all four days of the convention to provide informational materials and answer questions regarding ZF’s development, relief and social service work that is carried out both internationally and in the US. This year we were also excited to spread the word to about our recently introduced Masjid Grant Program and to make available at our booth knowledgeable scholars who were capable of answering Zakat related questions.
Visitors to our booths who were familiar with ZF’s work commended our efforts to help the poor and needy of the Ummah. Those visitors for whom ISNA’s bazaar offered their first exposure to Zakat Foundation and its work were eager to learn about our programs and the ways in which they could support our efforts.
We thank everyone who took the time to stop by our booths at the ISNA convention to ask questions and make donations. We hope that all questions were answered to their satisfaction. If you have any more questions about our programs, please do not hesitate to call or visit us at www.zakat.org.
