Immediate Food Relief in Emergencies
During times of crisis, we swiftly mobilize to provide hot meals and essential food packages to those affected. Whether it's natural disasters, conflict zones, or other emergencies, our aim is to alleviate immediate hunger and contribute to the recovery of communities in need.
Seasonal Initiatives to Unite Communities Through Food
As part of our commitment and compassion, we actively provide nutritious meals during the holy month of Ramadan and distribute Udhiyah-Qurbani meat to those who may not have access to it. In the United States, we extend our support during significant national events such as MLK Day and Thanksgiving. By distributing food to vulnerable communities, we contribute to fostering a sense of unity and inclusivity.
Sustainable Nutritional Support for Orphans
Our Orphan Support Program provides daily, nutritious meals year-round, ensuring orphans receive consistent care. We partner with local communities and offer educational programs to promote healthy eating habits and long-term development.

Stories of Change
Bismillah Degnyal
Karnataka, India
Bismillah Degnyal, a 30-year-old widow, tragically lost her husband and was left to care for her four young children and elderly parents. Overwhelmed with grief and responsibility, she began sewing clothes to earn a small income, as she couldn't leave her newborn. Bismillah struggled with the scarcity of food grains, often leaving her children without proper meals. Desperate, she relied on the kindness of neighbors to feed her family. Facing the prospect of not being able to break their fasts in Ramadan, Bismillah received a visit from our field teams, who gave her a Ramadan food package full of essentials. Overwhelmed with gratitude, she was deeply moved and expressed her heartfelt thanks.
Allison
Cordoba, Argentina
8-year-old Allison has been a frequent visitor at the Zakat Foundation’s community kitchen. A lifeline for Allison’s family, the kitchen provides nutritious meals and a sense of community. While the kids enjoy healthy dinners and creative activities, Allison’s mother finds comfort in connecting with other parents. The program’s support eases their struggles, offering both nourishment and emotional relief. Allison and the other children participate in activities like playing games, painting, or drawing. These activities provide a safe and stimulating space for the children to express themselves and build friendships.
