Response to Humanitarian Crisis
Due to a rise in gender-based violence, internal displacement, civil unrest, limited access to healthcare, and food insecurity, an estimated 2.8 million people are in urgent need of humanitarian assistance. Our Seasonal Islamic Giving Program plays a vital role in delivering essential food aid to those in need. Each Ramadan, supporters of Zakat Foundation of America provide a full month of Iftar meals to generously feed hundreds of Muslim families followed by thousands of pounds of Udhiyah-Qurbani meat from locally raised livestock. These efforts ensure food insecure families have sustenance and safety.
