Response to Humanitarian Crisis

Decades of conflict in Iraq have left nearly 1.2 million people displaced, with 3 million Iraqis, including 1 million in urgent need, facing exhausted resources and limited access to basic services and protection. Since 2003, Zakat Foundation of America has been providing food, medicine, winter supplies, and other urgent necessities. Iraq’s ongoing crisis has brought our Orphan Sponsorship Program into sharper focus, with increasing support from both donors and specialists.

Each year, thousands of Iraq's most vulnerable receive vital iftar meals throughout Ramadan, followed by our global distribution of fresh, Islamically slaughtered Udhiyah-Qurbani meat, offering much-needed high-protein nutrition to impoverished families.
