(WSYR-TV) — Job fairs provide prospective employees with an opportunity to network with employers and learn about different companies.

The Syracuse Opportunities fair is more than a job fair, it’s also a chance to connect individuals with 50+ employers, vendors and community organizers in the Onondaga and Syracuse community.

Madea Holman is the Build to Work Program Manager for Jubilee Homes of Syracuse. The organization offers community enrichment opportunities such as their community farm to grow fresh organic produce in the summer and a youth program.

Psychotherapist, Mohammed Elfiki, works for Zakat Foundation of America, Inc., a humanitarian organization that provides aid to those in need and career opportunities such as vocational training.

Laura Mattice, Vice President and CRA Officer and Community Development Coordinator at the Syracuse Community Bank, assists people with finances through a special purpose credit program for homeowners.

Resumes and professional attire are encouraged for the networking event.

The Syracuse Opportunities Fair will be hosted on Thursday, April 10th at the OnCenter from 10:00 a.m. to 2:00 p.m.
