Nearly 14 years after the devastating war that forced millions to flee, Syrian families are returning home with hopes for a better future. Zakat Foundation of America has supported them throughout their displacement and continues to assist as they rebuild. Our teams are distributing essentials like flour, food packages, water, and more. Join us in helping them find stability and a renewed sense of normalcy on their journey ahead.
The Road Ahead
An estimated 70% of the population requires humanitarian aid, while 90% live below the poverty line. Syria's largest cities, Damascus and Aleppo, are experiencing widespread food shortages, leaving 3.1 million people severely hungry, with malnutrition rapidly reaching emergency levels. We are urgently delivering nutritious food packages to families, each containing enough wholesome items to feed a family of five for 10 days. With clean drinking water in short supply, we are also providing water bottles, which are essential for the health and safety of these struggling families.
