The Zakat Foundation of America mourns the passing of Pope Francis, a gentle soul who dedicated his life to serving others with compassion and kindness. As a leader, he profoundly cared for the most vulnerable in society, always striving to fulfill his mission of peace, justice, and love for humanity.

Pope Francis’s unwavering commitment to the poor, the marginalized, and the oppressed left an indelible mark on the world. His message of compassion transcended borders, bringing hope and solace to countless lives. We offer our deepest condolences to the Catholic community and all those who were touched by his humble spirit and powerful message.

Zakat Foundation has recently partnered with the Galileo Foundation to further our mission of aiding individuals from all walks of life.

Additionally, on June 11th, 2024, we were proud to open a new family migrant shelter in Chicago, Illinois at the St. Bartholomew Catholic Church campus on the city’s Northwest Side, in partnership with the Archdiocese of Chicago, as well as the City of Chicago and Cook County. Together, we welcomed 45 new residents, with plans to house up to 300, to a new life where they receive personal, caring humanitarian relief for their needs.

May he rest in peace, and may his legacy of love and service continue to inspire us all.
