In recent months, refugee populations continue to increase in spite of restricting the movement of refugees and migrants. The COVID-19 pandemic will worsen the already difficult humanitarian situation. In Ramadan, we deliver thousands of pounds of food to Bosnia's most needy. At the time of Hajj, on the day of Eid al-Adha, Zakat Foundation aid workers oversee the slaughter of locally raised livestock as Udhiyah (Qurbani) sacrifice. They then hand-deliver thousands of pounds of nutritional, protein-rich meat to impoverished families. This Seasonal Islamic Giving has become integral to the yearly food-security plan of Bosnia's most indigent.
