Response to Humanitarian Crisis

Since mid-2018, Bosnia and Herzegovina have seen an increase in refugees and migrants fleeing conflict zones. This influx has prompted humanitarian organizations, including ours, to provide basic aid, such as food through our Seasonal Islamic Giving Program. Despite restrictions on movement, refugee numbers continue to rise, and the COVID-19 pandemic has worsened an already dire situation. During Ramadan, we deliver thousands of pounds of food to the most vulnerable, and at Eid al-Adha, our team oversees the slaughter of locally raised livestock for Udhiyah-Qurbani, distributing thousands of pounds of protein-rich meat to impoverished families. This aid is now a crucial part of Bosnia's annual food security efforts.
