Response to Humanitarian Crisis

The Republic of Guinea faces a severe humanitarian crisis, worsened by political instability and inadequate social services. The country’s weak healthcare system struggles with recurring epidemics. Millions lack access to clean water, sanitation, and education, with over 1.6 million children out of school. Recent floods and a fuel depot explosion have further strained resources, leaving thousands vulnerable. The crisis has heightened the risk of violence, especially for women and children, who face exploitation and unsafe conditions.

Zakat Foundation of America is helping families through food security and seasonal Islamic giving projects. Vulnerable families are given food supplies throughout the year, including during Ramadan and Udhiyah-Qurbani seasons.
